TDOH INC. ("we", "us", "our") operates the AirTipt mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, what stays on your device, and what is stored on our servers when you use AirTipt.
1. Information We Collect
When you use AirTipt, the following information may be collected:
- Profile Information: Display name, emoji, tagline, profession, and profile photo that you choose to share.
- Bluetooth and Local Network Discovery Data: Information broadcast and received over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework to discover nearby AirTipt users.
- Payment Information: Payment details (such as card information) are collected and processed by Stripe. AirTipt never sees or stores your card numbers, CVV, or full bank credentials.
- Tip History: Records of tips you send and receive, including amount, timestamp, and the parties involved.
- User Identifier: A randomly generated user ID tied to your Stripe account is used to associate your tips and profile with your Stripe Connected Account.
- Push Notification Tokens: Apple Push Notification service (APNs) device tokens are collected so we can deliver notifications about incoming tips.
2. What We Store on Our Servers
The following information is stored on our servers:
- Tip Records: Tip amount, sender display name, recipient Stripe account ID, and timestamp.
- Stripe Connected Account IDs: The identifier for your Stripe Express account so payouts can be routed correctly.
- Profile Information for Discovery: Display name, emoji, profession, and tagline are synced to our servers so that nearby users can still see you while the app is in the background or briefly offline.
- Profile Photos: Profile photos are uploaded to and stored on the Cloudinary CDN. A URL pointing to the photo is stored on our servers and shared with nearby peers.
- APNs Device Tokens: Stored so we can send push notifications to your device.
Server-stored data is retained for up to 60 days of account inactivity, after which it is eligible for deletion.
3. What Stays on Your Device
The following information stays only on your device and is not sent to our servers:
- Your local tip history.
- Your Stripe connection status.
- Bluetooth and local network discovery data (scans of nearby users).
- Sender-side payment authorization performed by Stripe's SDK on device.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To display your profile to nearby users who have AirTipt open.
- To enable tips between users through Stripe.
- To upload and serve your profile photo via Cloudinary.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the AirTipt experience.
- To respond to support requests and account questions.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Bluetooth and Local Network
AirTipt uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework to discover nearby users. Discovery happens on device. AirTipt does not transmit raw Bluetooth or local network scan data to our servers.
When you are in Tipable mode, your device shares the following with nearby peers: display name, emoji, tagline, profession, and avatar URL.
6. Stripe Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. AirTipt does not store your card information. Stripe's privacy practices are described in their own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.
7. Profile Photos
Profile photos are stored on the Cloudinary content delivery network (CDN). The URL of your profile photo is shared with nearby peers over Bluetooth so they can display your avatar in the nearby radar. Cloudinary's privacy practices are described at cloudinary.com/privacy.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Most of your data lives locally on your device. You can delete your AirTipt account at any time from the Profile screen inside the app. Deleting your account:
- Erases the local data AirTipt has stored on your device.
- Removes your profile photo from the Cloudinary CDN.
- Removes your profile information from our discovery servers.
Closing your Stripe Express account is a separate action handled directly through the Stripe dashboard. Please follow Stripe's instructions if you also wish to close your Express account.
9. Children's Privacy
AirTipt is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be communicated through the AirTipt app.
11. Third-Party Services
AirTipt uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Stripe — payment processing and Connect platform — stripe.com/privacy
- Cloudinary — profile photo storage and delivery — cloudinary.com/privacy
- Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) — push notifications — apple.com/privacy
